August Photo-a-Day Challenge, simple drawing from my youth, a prophetic portrait given me years ago
Day 13, Simple
I have been drawing this picture since I was a very little girl. The Lord seems to be revealing to me that He is the river that runs through the valley of the shadow of death. I shall fear no evil for thou art with me.–Psalm 23
August Photo-a-Day challenge, God allows U-turns, Thank you Jesus
Day 14, Arrow
God allows U-turns. Thank you Jesus. Heaven knows I’ve needed that kind of grace many, many times. You are not alone. We all make mistakes. Taking risks is how we learn.
Photo-a-Day August Challenge, Javier Culson, Puerto Rico, Bronze, Olympian, 2012, hurdles, 400m
Day 15, Ready
Fellow Borinquen, Javier Culson, is ready to run the 400m hurdles at the London Olympics. He won the bronze for Puerto Rico. Not bad for a country that only sent 25 athletes, eh?

What could be nicer than happy rice people in my soup? This photo is courtesy of Sofrito for your soul
August Photo-a-Day Challenge, My son's first ride on the Giant Dipper, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk 2012
Day 17, Faces
“This is how you end summer vacation before returning to school,” I said to my son as we left Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was a beautiful, sunny day and I didn’t even plan ahead. Perfect.
August Photo-a-Day Challenge, Aogashima, Japan, Island photo project
Day 18, Inside
Welcome to Aogashima, Japan. Inside this volcano is something very interesting. I don’t know what it is but it sure looks interesting.
August Photo-a-Day Challenge, Super-Massive Black Hole (SMBH), M87
Day 19, Hole
The supermassive black hole (SMBH) at the center of the most massive local galaxy, M87, is not where it was expected, a team of astronomy researchers have found.
