Day 10: Non-Governmental Organizations in Puerto Rico

31 Days of Gratitude
Join me as I celebrate all I have to be thankful for during the month of October. Why October instead of November? One more day! Enjoy and be blessed.

How do you adequately express gratitude to companies who have a heart for Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans? Muchas gracias a todos:

Bacardi brothers
Yes, that company of Rum-distilling brothers who fled Cuba when revolution came. They have pledged $2 million to Puerto Rico hurricane disaster relief and support rebuilding efforts with NGOs and local governments.

Google
Thanks to Google, its employees and their public efforts, they have raised $7 million for Hurricane Maria relief efforts.

JetBlue
While they have had to reduce daily flights to San Juan, flights that make it through deliver much needed supplies.

Starbucks
They have pledged $250,000 for disaster recovery efforts and also allow customers to make donations through its app.

UPS
They have delivered two air freighters with Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs).

Verizon
Not only have they pledged $1 Million for disaster recovery but they will match employee contributions to hurricane relief NGOs.

Other NGOs
Walmart
Lowe’s
Humana
Bristol-Meyers Squibb

Thank you! May the Lord bless and keep all of you.
