“Pow right in the kisser.” That’s what it looked like as the Giants proved their berth into the World Series was no fluke. It was goose eggs until the seventh inning when with bases loaded they bunted and the bunt stayed fair scoring one go-ahead run.
My son and I joked that my late husband was right there blowing on the baseball to keep it fair along the third base line. That bunt was a thing of beauty. Kids, that’s how you deaden a 90-mph fast ball.
Now there is no way the Tigers can win the series at home. If they want to win, they have to come back to San Francisco. Frankly, it will be over after game four.
