Day 2: Washing machine

Day 2: Washing machine

31 Days of God-related attitude
I am grateful I have a used Bosch washing machine. I purchased a Kenmore set from Sears in 2005 and last month the washer died. Yep, 45 days before I’m scheduled to move out it crapped out.

The estimate for repairs was $450+, which seemed outrageous. I nearly gave up and decided to use a laundromat but I checked Craigslist and found a used one for less. However, the store selling the used washer offered to fix the problem for $200. I was ecstatic.

They ordered and installed the part. It seemed to work but when I loaded the washer it still wasn’t working.

For $150 more, I purchased a used Bosch front loading washer. I love it! It works wonderfully and I am very grateful I’ll be able to sell the set before we move. God is so good.

What are you thankful for today?

Day 1, Savior
Others blogging a 31-day series for October:

Boricua Confidential chronicles my new life as a single mom of two kids after my husband died from cancer on our son’s seventh birthday. Join me on this journey of change, revival, reformation, discovery and new direction ordered of God. Being a widow ain’t easy, that’s for sure. I refuse to rollover and die. Quite the contrary. I intend to thrive from this crazy life. You can’t keep this woman down. If I’m down, I won’t be for long.

God created me to bounce back. Watch me.

  1. God had me take a photo of my pantry to remind me of his provision. The photo clearly showed a full pantry. It has never been empty. He is sooooooo good.

  2. I would love a new washer and dryer. So thankful for His provision!
